2011 CHC Award Winner Selection Process

Based on video entries received for the CACHCA 2011 CHC Awards, a selection committee from CACHCA will select a list of three (3) finalists within each Award category. Video finalists will be assessed on the following criteria:

• The extent to which the nominated individual, group or program reflects the spirit of the award in the respective award cataeogry
  
  
• Reach of impact, meaning the degree to which the nominated individual, group or program has touched the lives of diverse individuals, families and groups in the community.
  
  
• Systemic change, meaning the extent to which the nominated individual, group or program has challenged your CHC and others in the community to improve and diversify the ways in which community members are engaged around health and healthcare.
  
  
• The creativity of the video submission. Note: videos will not be judged based on video quality, but on the creativity of the nomination description and content of the message.
  

In mid-May 2011, the CACHCA award selection committee will vote to determine the CACHCA 2011 CHC Award winner. The Award winner will be announced during the international conference Community Health Centres: Acting Today, Shaping Tomorrow, in Toronto (June 9th and 10th, 2011).
